Cozy Corners™ C2C Mug Coaster Crochet Pattern – PDF Digital Download

Revised February 12, 2026

There’s just something comforting about small crochet projects. The kind you can finish in one sitting, with a cup of coffee nearby and your favorite show playing softly in the background. This Cozy Corners C2C Mug Coaster is precisely that kind of project.

It’s simple, relaxing, and perfect for using up leftover cotton or any yarn—yet it still feels special once it’s finished and sitting on your table, holding your mug as if it were made just for it.

If you’ve ever wanted to try C2C crochet but felt a little intimidated, this is a great place to start.

Why I Love This Coaster Pattern

I designed this coaster to be:

  • Beginner-friendly
  • Quick to make
  • Practical for everyday use
  • Relaxing and repetitive (in the best way)
  • Great gift idea!

Corner-to-corner crochet has a beautiful rhythm. Once you get going, it almost feels like muscle memory takes over. Before you know it, you’re already decreasing—and suddenly, you’re done.

And let’s be honest… there’s something very satisfying about that! 😄

About the Pattern

This coaster is worked diagonally, starting from one corner and growing outward, then decreasing back down to the opposite corner. Each “block” is made with simple double crochet stitches, making it perfect for beginners who already know the basics.

Optional Finishing Touch

If desired, work an even round of single crochet around the entire coaster for a more polished finish. This helps the coaster lie flat and gives it a clean, cozy edge—especially nice for gifting or making a matching set.

A Little Crochet Moment

This is the kind of project I love reaching for at the end of the day. No counting marathon. No complicated stitches. Just yarn, hook, and a few quiet minutes to myself.

Whether you’re making one for your own coffee mug or a whole stack as a handmade gift, I hope this little coaster brings a bit of warmth and comfort to your home—just like crochet always does 💕

Happy stitching,
Geny 🧶✨
